QuestionAnswer
What is the difference between a hard bounce and a soft bounce?
A hard bounce is an email address that no longer exists. Those emails get removed from your list. A soft bounce is something like an out-of-office reply, or a full mailbox. Those emails will not be removed from your list.
How do I add a new user?
Go to Customer Center -> Create New User. At the next screen enter the email address and first and last name. Then, for permissions, check Administrator, and for Interface Profile, select Advanced. Then click create, and a welcome email will be sent to the new user.
How do I change the "From" and "Reply to" addresses?
Go to Lists -> Management -> View Lists, and select a list. At the next page, you get the option for the From address and Reply To addresses. Make sure you get the formatting absolutely perfect (there is an example), or you'll get some bizarre results in the "from" field when you send.
How do I create a report of all hard bounces?
  1. Go to Research -> Event Wizard
  2. Enter the criteria to specify the range of campaigns you want to query. Click Continue.
  3. Check the campaigns you want.
  4. Select the subscriber events and information you want (Hard Bounce). Click Continue.
  5. Give the report a name; leave the other options as the default settings. Click Continue.
  6. A report will be generated. You can find it under Content -> File Manager -> Reports.
  7. Right-click the .csv file and choose “Save Target As.” Save the file to your computer in a spot where you’ll be able to find it, such as the desktop.
How do I create a report of unsubscribes?
  1. Go to Research -> Event Wizard
  2. Enter the criteria to specify the range of campaigns you want to query. Click Continue.
  3. Check the campaigns you want.
  4. Select the subscriber events and information you want (Unsubscribe).
How do I set up an ongoing event with the calendar (such as a subscriber export)?
  1.  Go to Content -> Calendar, and select "Schedule Event Report for [the date]".
  2. Select how often you'd like to get the report, such as monthly.
  3. Check the box for "Send email when this task is completed" so that you'll get the reminder.
  4. At the next page, select the info that you want exported (such as email address and Subscribe)
  5. At the next page, give the report a name.
  6. Your report will show up at Content--File Manager--Reports folder.
  7. The best way to view it is to download to your computer first. Right-click the .csv file and choose “Save Target As.” Save the file to your computer in a spot where you’ll be able to find it, such as the desktop.
What Counts is telling me "Unable to Update User Record". Why am I getting this error?
This error often means that a record already exists for the new email address you are trying to change TO.

Use Search for Subscribers to see if the address you're trying to change TO already exists.

If it does, you can delete either record and then update the remaining record with the correct settings.
