You can send email attachments via Sympa lists by attaching your files in your email client as you normally would. However, each list has a maximum message size of roughly 1Mb.  The reason is that we host over 1000 lists on one server and we don’t want to clog all message traffic on our server due to someone sending gigantic files via an email list.

Additionally, many ISP’s have a maximum allowable file size for their subscribers—typically around 1Mb. So anything too large likely won’t get sent to your list subscribers anyway. If you have files that contain graphics or other items that create large files, we recommend posting them to your website, creating a PDF (we recommend the free, open-source software PDF Creator) or using a service like www.yousendit.com
