Some of my subscribers are "bouncing." What does that mean?
When viewing your list of subscribers you might notice that some of the email addresses will have a box next to them that says “Bouncing” This means that messages sent to that person are being returned undelivered. This is not necessarily cause for alarm. Sometimes a subscriber's inbox is full and cannot accept anymore emails. Sometimes email messages, just like "snail mail" doesn't make it to the intended recipient. To find out more about why an address is bouncing just click on the email address in question and you’ll see some information about when the bounce occurred.
To get even more information about the bounce click on “View last bounce” and you’ll see the original message sent between the ONE/Northwest server and the bouncing address’s server. Most times you’ll be able to tell why the message didn’t get through, for example you’ll see something like “Sorry no mailbox here by that name.” If you get one or two bounce messages for a subscriber it’s not really worth worrying about. If you get five or more bounce messages then you should investigate more fully and if you have questions about why a message is bouncing, feel free to contact us.
