| Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) - March 2007 Founded in 1989, ONDA is the only group working exclusively to protect Oregon’s high desert. Over the past 18 years, ONDA has earned many successes including the protection of Steens Mountain as the nation’s first “cow-free” Wilderness in 2000, and the removal of livestock grazing from both the Hart Mountain National Wildlife Refuge in 1992, and the Wild and Scenic Owyhee River in 1998. |

| Hoyt Arboretum - December 2006 Hoyt Arboretum, located in Portland, Oregon is a living laboratory where scientists and students can study trees and plants that would not otherwise grow in our climate and habitat. The Hoyt Collection includes more than 1,000 true species, with specimens grown from seeds collected in the wild. These plants produce seeds that can be used to replant native ecosystems that have been destroyed or are at risk. |

| Priorities for a Healthy Oregon - September 2006 The Oregon Conservation Network's “Priorities for a Healthy Oregon” includes expanding Oregon’s electronic recycling program, investing in renewable energy, decreasing dependence on foreign oil through the promotion of biofuels, and addressing the issue of toxics in our waterways. The Oregon Conservation Network (OCN), a coalition of over forty leading environmental organizations, helped to decide the priorities. |

| Montana League of Rural Voters - August 2006 The Montana League of Rural Voters works to elevate and improve Montanans participation in local and state governments. Key public policy issues include: country-of-origin labeling of meat and other food products, support for the development of clean, renewable energy sources, and discouraging any increased reliance on limited-term, fossil fuel-based energy development. |

Cascade Land Conservancy fills a unique and important niche as the only private land trust that is dedicated to the four-county region of King, Kittitas, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. |

| 21 Acres - June 2006 Formerly known as the Kaplan Farm, 21 Acres was purchased in the late 1990’s by King County Parks and Natural Resources. The land was intended to become soccer fields, but farm preservationists argued that the county’s plan would undermine state growth-management laws regarding agricultural conservation. 21 Acres is part of King County’s farmland preservation project. The vision is to create a welcoming space for community and shoppers to rediscover our agricultural heritage. |

| Markets Initiative - June 2006 Markets Initiative works with Canadian companies to conserve ancient and endangered forests by shifting their demand, and supply, of paper products to environmentally sound options. There is a wealth of information on specific paper products, producers, publishers, and industries. The website also serves as a portal to Ancient Forest Friendly and Eco Initiatives. |

| Pollution in People - May 2006 The Pollution in People study is a project of the Toxic-Free Legacy Coalition, a diverse state-wide coalition of more than 50 organizations. In 2005, ten Washington residents agreed to testing for the presence of toxic chemicals. The Coalition wanted to know which chemicals were getting into our bodies, and at what levels, to better understand the potential harm posed by poor regulation of chemicals, and to develop better solutions. The results of the study are hosted on the Pollution in People website. |

Begun in 2004, the project emerged out of extensive involvement in land trusts and their use of GIS by all of the sponsor organizations. |

We did a new graphic design for their site, and implemented it using Plone in order to give their non-technical staff the ability to easily update site content without using outside contractors.
