Database Consulting

A solid database of constituents is core to the successful functioning of nonprofits. We can help you on the road to a high quality constituent database through a number of services: from helping you plan your database, to implementing and training on how to use it. Read on to find out more about how we can help you.

The Challenge

All nonprofits have constituents, and all nonprofits need to manage their interactions with those constituents. From donations, to volunteering, to responses to action alerts: If a nonprofit has a clear picture of the activities of its constituents, those relationships can be deepened, and made more fruitful for both parties. We think that a Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system is a key piece of technology that can help nonprofits deepen those relationships. We can help you through the challenging process of getting CRM working to meet your needs.

The Platform We Use

To that end, we've chosen to implement database projects for nonprofits with the Salesforce.com database platform. It's a robust, customizable, web-based CRM database platform that is really easy to use. And the Salesforce Foundation is giving it away to eligible nonprofits.

Our Process

Our experienced database consultants will work with you to customize Salesforce.com, matching it to the unique ways you run your nonprofit. We'll help you identify the types of interactions with your constituents that you want to track in your database. We understand how to support many common nonprofit  functions in Salesforce.com: donor, volunteer, and membership management, events, petitioning, canvassing, etc.

Once we've got the database customized, we'll move your existing constituent data into Salesforce.com and train you how to use it.

Connecting to other systems (websites, email marketing, online donations, accounting, etc.) is possible, and we're happy to talk to you about those options.

Costs

Project costs vary depending on the complexity of your needs.  Please contact us for an estimate.
